In addition to his normal busy practice in IP licensing and tech transfer, Rob McInnes has spent the last few years helping multiple CSIRO ON teams, including many from universities, to license or otherwise access IP from their founders’ institutions. In this presentation Rob will comment generally on trends in licensing and related deal terms in public sector tech transfer, then focus specifically on how the encouragement of academic spin-outs through incubators, accelerators and training programs has affected typical deal term variables.
