Evelyn is Director of Commercialisation at Auckland UniServices Ltd. Evelyn’s responsibilities have run the full length of the commercialisation pathway from developing IP and commercialisation strategies for new technologies through to transacting key commercial deals at UniServices. Some of the projects Evelyn has been involved with over the last year include the spin out of Soul Machines as part of a US$7.5m raise with Horizon Ventures and of SapVax LLC as part of a significant series A raise with Biomotiv. Evelyn was also heavily involved with the set up of UniServices’ China based subsidiary.
Prior to joining UniServices, Evelyn was Corporate Counsel at AgResearch Ltd, a New Zealand Crown Research Institute where her role focused on the structuring and completion of commercialisation transactions. She was NZ Corporate Counsel and IP Manager at PureDepth Ltd, when that company completed a reverse listing on the secondary board to the NASDAQ. Evelyn has worked in private practice at Lowndes Associates, a boutique law firm, and at Pipers, a specialist patent firm.
